COLORING NATURAL HAIR!!!

from Black to Red

If you follow me (diaryofahairprincess) or Brooke at Untrained Hairmom on facebook than you know I colored my hair. A lot of people are asking how the color was done without having to bleach my natural hair. Well, I took the questions to my stylist and she took time out of her day to write this up for me to share with you all. Thanks Jameelah! 

How to color Virgin Hair

For virgin application color:
Product used: Clariol 4RB 

*Blow dry Hair straight from its natural curl pattern to ensure even color

*Part Hair in four sections for better control

*Start where most resistant usually in the crown

*Start applying color in the back right section applying to mid shift only (2 inches away from root)

*Repeat this process by moving to your next section which will be back left section 

*Continue process until you've finished off at top right section

*Go back to back right section, apply to the root

*Repeat same exact process throughout the other sections applying to roots

*Then go back to back right section and apply to ends repeating this same process throughout the whole head. 

*Pay attention to timing (timing varies depending on the integrity of the Hair)

*PLEASE READ MANUFACTURE DIRECTIONS FOR TIMING

*Place on plastic cap for processing time

*Once desired color has been achieved, rinse Hair until water runs clear

*Neutralize 2x followed by a moisturizing shampoo

*Deep condition by sitting under dryer with plastic cap for 20-25 mins

*Rinse conditioner on cool or Luke warm color

*Towel blot the Hair

*Apply leave in conditioner 

*Sit under dryer until 50% of the hair is dry

*Spray Heat Protectant and style as usual*****
